The East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) is a University in Shanghai, China. The ECUPL was founded in 1952 as a result of the founding of the People's Republic of China, as a successor to St. John's University.

The original St. John's University, founded in 1879 by American missionaries, was one of China's oldest and most prestigious universities and was often referred to as the "Harvard of China" for this reason.

The ECUPL is divided into two campuses, one part of the university is located on the old campus of St. John's University in the center of Shanghai, the other part, which houses the bachelor students in particular, is part of "Songjiang University Town". It is an education center outside of Shanghai, housing eight different universities. The area of the university city is unique in size, even in China, enabling an extraordinary camp experience.

The ECUPL, which has a clear focus on law studies, is well arranged with about 15,000 students and has an excellent mentoring key. The courses are held in English, but it must be noted that the clear distinction between foreign students and Chinese students makes it difficult to get in touch with local students. However, the possibility arises at the latest if one decides on a place in the student dormitory on the campus.

"The time in China was an adventure in every way. A challenge I have grown to. [...] I have been able to look into a culture in China that could not be further from ours. "

Erwartetes Sprachniveau Für englischsprachige Kurse: gute Kenntnisse, um Kursen zu folgen und Klausuren schreiben zu können.
