Joint Certificate Program Eastern European Law

The Faculty of Law of the Humboldt-University of Berlin, the University of Hamburg, the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel, the University of Cologne and the Paris-Lodron-University of Salzburg opened a study program "Eastern European Law" during the summer semester 2002. The University of Passau has joined the program in the winter term 2002/2003. The University of Regensburg has been involved since the summer semester of 2004.

The certificate program makes it possible to use the various professional and regional focus of the participating institutions and to demonstrate the acquisition of a deeper knowledge of the legal regulations of Eastern Europe through a degree accompanying the studies. The certificate program leads to a study certificate "Eastern European Law" as supplementary qualification to a regular final exams in the subject of legal science. The content of the certificate program is determined according to the certificate regulations, which have been approved by the faculties concerned.

The participating universities are pleased to offer their students and doctoral students a technically attractive supplementary offer in the legal growth area of Eastern European law, and are hoping for a keen interest in the new program.
