Duquesne University, School of Law, Pittsburgh
A partnership in the USA exists with Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, USA. This is supervised by Professor Dr Junker of the Chair of US Law.
Duquesne University is a private Catholic university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1911, the university is the only major educational institution worldwide managed by the Order of the Spiritans.
With over 10,000 students, it is small compared to the University of Cologne, but it is also a typical American campus university. The School of Law is integrated into the campus of Duquesne University. This is centrally located near Pittsburgh Downtown.
"Although Pittsburgh is close to cities such as Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington D.C. or New York likes to go down, it is for me one of the strongest character cities of the northern east coast. The unusual triangular layout of the city center, the many bridges and the hilly landscape contrast with the usually huge, flat and checkered cities of the United States."
"It's not just about the question of how much you learn abroad in a foreign country or how far the semester abroad in the curriculum brings you, but it's about thinking outside the box and maybe a bit about rebalancing your goals and priorities . "
Information on the program and application can be found on the pages of the US Law Department.
A TOEFL test score of at least 90 or an IELTS test score of at least 7.5 must be submitted with the application; this is a mandatory requirement of Duquesne University (only the TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) is accepted for TOEFL).
